Paint me boldly
in shades of curiosity
and deepening hues
of becoming.
Paint my lips the color
of dare-me red
and dress me in a gown
of summer night rain.
Leave no room for confusion,
only space for wonder.
Paint me as I move
to the rhythm of thaw
and the pulse of revival.
Paint me in this moment
for what it can be -
A touchstone
should I slip back
into the desolate then
and need help returning
to the shimmering now.
